The Twilight of the Gods - the extinction of both the gods and the power of the gold. Siegfried and Brünnhilde, too, fall victim to the curse of the ring, which brings misfortune and destruction to the one who possesses it. Through intrigues of the dwarfs, who still want the ring for themselves, the two lovers are confounded and set against each other. Brünnhilde betrays the vulnerable place on Siegfried\'s body, which the dwarfs utilise to kill him. Only after his death does Brünnhilde realise that she has been deceived.
